Striatonigral Degeneration:Clinical, MRI, & Pathologic Correlation Neurol 40:710-711, O'Brien,C.,et al, 1990 See this aricle in Pubmed Article Abstract We report a patient with striatonigral degeneration in whom T2-weighted MRI imaging revealed low signal and atrophy in the putamen.Neuropathologic studies confirmed putaminal atrophy and iron deposition in the MRI low signal regions.
