Article Abstract
Eastern equine encephalitis produces focal radiographic signs.The characteristic early involvement of the basal ganglia and thalami distinguishes this illness from herpes simplex encephalitis.MRI is a sensitive technique to identify the characteristic early radiographic manifestations of this viral encephalitis.
