Article Abstract
Institutionalized patients with HD are more motorically, psychiatrically, and behaviorally impaired than their counterparts living at home. However, motor variables alone predicted institutionalization. Treatment strategies that delay the pro gression of motor dysfunction in HD may postpone the need for institutionalization.
