Target lesions on diffusion-weighted imaging are compelling for a diagnosis of cerebral aspergillosis in immunocompromised patients and for acute necrotizing encephalopathy in immunocompetent patients when lesions are bilateral thalamic and Balo concentric sclerosis when white matter is involved. |
