Article Abstract
We describe a case of cerebral vasculitis due to Aspergillus infection in an immunocompetent adult, in whom the probable source was paranasal sinus infection. At post mortem there was widespread endovascular Aspergillus infection of the cerebral arteries with occlusion of the basilar artery. We review the literature regarding intracranial Aspergillus infection and new approaches to diagnosis.
