Temporal arteritis is one of the most common forms of vasculitis, with an incidence approaching 1%in the geriatric population[1,2].However,the incidence and prevalence of temporal arteritis and associated autoimmune musculoskeletal disorders such as polymyalgia rheumatica have been predominantly reported in whites and rarely in blacks. We present one of six black patients with biopsy-proven temporal arteritis who initially presented with polymyalgia rheumatica. |
