Article Abstract
The neuroleptic malignant syndrome is a rare reaction to neuroleptic drugs characterised by fever, rigidity, alteration in consciousness, and autonomic dysfunction.Early recognition of the diagnosis is essential to allow appropriate treatment and improve outcome. We present a case of the syndrome in which diagnosis was obscured by the presence of a proved infection.
