Octreotide Therapy for Thyroid-Stimulation Hormone-Secreting Pituitary Adenomas, A Follow-up of 52 Patients Ann Int Med 119:236-240, Chanson,P.,et al, 1993 See this aricle in Pubmed Article Abstract Octreotide is an effective treatment for TSH-secreting adenomas.Thyroid- stimulating hormone levels almost always decreased,and thyroid hormone levels reverted to normal in about three quarters of patients.Partial tumor shrinkage was observed in one third of patients receiving long-term octreotide treatment.
