The prevalence of autoantibodies is greater in patients with epilepsy, including newly diagnosed seizure disorder. The increased prevalence of autoantibodies is more strongly associated with epilepsy than with antiepileptic drugs, perhaps i ndicating that immune dysregulation may be commonly associated with epilepsy. |
