Brain Abscess after Endovascular Coiling of Saccular Aneurysm: Case Report AJNR 23:697-699, AL-Okaili,R. &Patel,S.J., 2002 See this aricle in Pubmed Article Abstract CNS infection occurring after therapeutic angiography is rare. We present a case report of a brain abscess complicating endovascular coiling of an intracranial aneurysm. We recommend the use of prophylactic antibiotics, especially when per forming therapeutic CNS angiography.
