Cognitive Performance After Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting:A Follow-up Study

Article Abstract
The authors studied 52 of an initial cohort of 91 patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting and survived the perioperative period without stroke or other comorbidities, after a median follow-up of 55 months. Baseline data of the followed patients were comparable to those lost for follow-up. No patient showed a decline in neuropsychological test performance as compared to baseline. Vascular risk factor control was good in all patients, possibly contributing to the favorable outcom e.
