The authors studied 52 of an initial cohort of 91 patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting and survived the perioperative period without stroke or other comorbidities, after a median follow-up of 55 months. Baseline data of the followed patients were comparable to those lost for follow-up. No patient showed a decline in neuropsychological test performance as compared to baseline.
