Anticoagulation After Cardioembolic Stroke: To Bridge or Not to Bridge

Article Abstract
Anticoagulation of patients with cardioembolic stroke can be safely started with warfarin shortly after stroke. Heparin bridging and enoxaparin bridging increase the risk for serious bleeding.
